Microbial Genetics
Overview
The main area of interest in our laboratory is the analysis of the mechanisms through which the cell senses nutrient availability and how this information is transmitted to the level of gene expression. The research focuses on the mechanisms of transcriptional regulation that govern the expression of genes involved in carbohydrate utilization and metabolism in the Gram-positive model organism Bacillus subtilis.Group leader: Prof. Isabel M.
