Admissions

The ITQB PhD Program starts each year in February. Students must apply in the previous year till November.

Prospective students are encouraged to browse through the ITQB website to learn about the different research areas. Additionally, students are welcome to visit the institute and talk to faculty and students. Visits should be arranged with the Academics and Projects Office or directly with a laboratory coordinator.

Students may either enroll the ITQB PhD Program already associated with a particular laboratory/supervisor or choose their supervisor after the laboratory rotations (at the end of the 1st semester).

Requirements

Prospective PhD students should hold a MSc (2nd Bologna cycle) or equivalent in natural or exact sciences from a recognized university.

Students will be assessed on the basis of their academic background by the scientific council of the PhD Program.
