SEURAT-1 Summer School “Towards the replacement of in vivo repeated dose systemic toxicity testing”
iBET, 4 - 8 June 2012
This research initiative is designed as a cluster of seven projects:
- Five complementary research projects : Scr&Tox ; HeMiBio ; DETECTIVE ; COSMOS ; NOTOX
- A central data management and servicing project: ToxBank
- A coordination and support project : COACH
This is an excellent opportunity to learn with renowned scientists. The program features presentations by PIs and young researchers, practical hands-on workshops and poster sessions.
During the week, the SEURAT-1 Scientific Expert Panel (SEP) will meet. The aim of embedding the SEP meeting in the Summer School is to create opportunities for exchanges between the scientists involved in SEURAT-1 research and the SEP members.
In addition, attendees will get the opportunity to visit IBET´s Animal Cell Technology Laboratories, their Pilot and cGMP manufacturing plants.
Registrations are now open online . There is no registration fee.

All participants need to register to the event via this website and to complete the accommodation booking form to be sent directly to the hotel.
Considering that some hands-on sessions are limited to a maximum number of participants, we kindly ask you to register to each session you wish to attend. When a session is full, further registrations will be put on a waiting list: first arrived, best served!
Each external participant to the SEURAT 1 Cluster is requested to submit a poster on his/her research work. All details on the call for posters are indicated on the registration website.

SEURAT-1 stands for “Safety Evaluation Ultimately Replacing Animal Testing“ and is aiming at developing knowledge and technology building blocks required for the development of solutions for the replacement of current repeated dose systemic toxicity testing in vivo used for the assessment of human safety.
