Researchers at ITQB can profit from the excellent research facilities, equipment, and support services. A list of the major equipment and services available on site is provided in this section.

The Analytical Services Unit (ASU) is a joint department of IBET and ITQB and includes Analytical Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Mass Spectrometry, Amino Acids Analysis, Protein Sequencing, and Elemental Analysis. | ITQB hosts the largest Portuguese NMR facility - Centro de Ressonância Magnética António Xavier. CERMAX has several NMR spectrometers (300, 400, 500 and 800 MHz), including the highest field NMR spectrometer in Portugal. This equipment is part of the National NMR Facility.

| The ITQB Lab Manager coordinates the purchase and maintenance of scientific equipment for the institute. Besides establishing efficient and professional purchase procedures, the Lab Manager supervises common scientific equipment and supports researchers who need to acquire laboratory instruments. | The Science Management and Administration Office helps to support researchers along the whole process of research funding, from finding opportunities and providing help in the application process, to managing projects.

| Technology transfer at ITQB is managed either through IBET or through ITQB-ILO. In both situations, researchers should fill in the available forms and send them to itqb-ilo@itqb.unl.pt.
