Dear Friends and Colleagues, After the great success of the 1st International Conference on Food Bioactives & Health held in Norwich in 2016, it is a great pleasure and an honor to welcome you to the second edition of this premier scientific event. The FBHC 2018 will take place in the amazing city of Lisbon, from the 26th to the 28th of September, at the Rectory of NOVA University, one of the most prestigious universities in Portugal. The topics addressed by FBHC2018 will cover the whole palette of interests of the community including the impact of polyphenols, carotenoids, glucosinolates, marine compounds, polysaccharides, peptides and proteins as food bioactives for health. The Conference will strive to afford a delightful forum for the attendees to improve their scientific knowledge and explore the latest trends in the field. It will offer plenty of networking opportunities, providing the opportunity to interact with leading scientists and stimulating creative exchange among researches. September is a stunning time of the year to visit Lisbon, Europe’s second oldest capital. The city, where the beautiful Tagus river meets the Atlantic ocean, offers a wide variety of tourist attractions to explore: surrounding hills, wonderful well-preserved architecture, magnificent historic monuments, vibrant cultural life, delicious traditional food and great natural sightseeing opportunities.
