9th International Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapies

General Information

The 9th International Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapies (SPCE-TC)  will be held in Oeiras, at the Riviera Hotel, Portugal, from October 15 to 16, 2015.

The 9th SPCE-TC will cover the different areas of stem cell research, from biology to bioengineering towards clinical applications and disease modeling using stem cells. Presentations and discussion will include recent developments in pre-clinical and clinical trials of stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine and quality requirements and policies.

The main topics of this meeting will be:
- Stem cells: niches and signaling in development and disease
- Stem cell metabolism
- Targeting unmet medical needs with advanced cell therapies
- Stem cell manufacturing
- Cells as products: validation and qualification

The workshop session will be focused on “Moving Cell Therapies to the Clinic: Clinical Challenges & Industry Highlights.
