Venue

The conference will take place in the vicinity of Lisbon, at Blue&GreenTróia Design Hotel Congress Center. Tróia is a beautiful peninsula dividing the Sado River from the Atlantic Ocean and is a touristic resort due to its white sandy beaches. It stands about 50 Km south from Lisbon. Shuttles will be made available from and to Lisbon international airport.

During the period of Roman occupation, dating from the 1st century to the 6th century AD, Tróia was an island of the Sado's delta, called Ácala Island. The Roman ruins of Tróia comprise a living area, a bathhouse, a religious core and several industrial centers. The main activity was fishing, manufacture and export of canned fish. The Sado Estuary Natural Reserve, where you can observe dolphins, and the Arrábida Natural Park, where you can see a fully developed Mediterranean forest, are two of the natural attractions nearby Tróia Peninsula.

The Tróia Golf Championship Course is considered to be the best course in Portugal in the categories of difficulty and variety, having been voted fourth best in the biennial poll organized by the European Golf magazine. It also stands in 20th place in the list of the best golf courses in Europe drawn up by the Golf World magazine.

Information about accommodations is available here.
