Frontier leaders of today for the scientists of tomorrow

ITQB hosts Angelika Grundling from Imperial College London for the first seminar of the third series of the ITQB PhD Program Seminars "Frontier leaders of today for the scientists of tomorrow". Angelika Grundling, who studies the biogenesis of the cell wall envelope in Gram-positive bacterial pathogens, will talk about How Gram-positive bacteria synthesize lipoteichoic acid and how Staphylococcus aureus manages to survive without it.
Angelika Grundling is Senior Lecturer in Molecular Microbiology at Imperial College London and has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant in January 2011 for the project "A functional analysis of Listeria and Staphylococcus lipoteichoic acid” .
