Master in Biotechnology for Sustainability

The call for applications for the Master in Biotechnology for Sustainability 2018/20 is now open. Interested students with a degree in Biology (Biological sciences, Biological engineering), Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agronomy (Agronomic sciences, Agronomic engineering) or others should submit their application till July 13th (1st period). More information on the application procedures can be obtained on the Masters website.
The Master Course in Biotechnology for Sustainability wants to prepare a new generation of professionals with a wide perspective of state-of-the-art biotechnology, skilled to deal with the new societal challenges, and aware of their responsibilities towards the planet and the future generations. The program will also convey a responsible and integrative entrepreneurial perspective of the Portuguese industrial biotechnology reality. The active involvement of researchers from several institutions will contribute to a broad perspective of future opportunities in the field of biotechnology for sustainability.
The Master in Biotechnology for Sustainability is coordinated by the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB NOVA), with the colaboration of Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Instituto de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária (INIAV), Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC), Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr. Ricardo Jorge (INSA), Nova School of Business and Economics (NOVA-SBE) and Centro de Biotecnologia Agrícola e Agro-Alimentar do Alentejo (CEBAL).
