Master in Science Communication 2014/2015

Registrations to the Master Course in Science Communication are now open. This masters is a joint initiative from the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (FCSH) and ITQB from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. The first application period ends on July 11.

With an essentially practical approach, the course covers the application of different communication tools to science communication in three major domains: journalism, institutional communication and education. The Masters Course includes two curricular semesters and a third semester for a training period in a recognized organization involved in science communication (media, museum or science centre, and research institution). As an alternative, students may also opt for proposing a comprehensive professional project in science communication or writing a dissertation on science communication.

The classes will take place at FCSH (Lisbon) two afternoons per week. Students may also choose to do a university extension course by attending only to the curricular semesters; approval of six curricular units is necessary (60 ECTS).

Both Masters and University Extension Courses are available to students from all areas.
