Short course
The training responds to a growing need among early-career researchers: understanding and mastering all the elements required by funders beyond the scientific and technical merit of projects. Competitive applications today demand components that many researchers consider peripheral, but which decisively influence evaluation: impact statements, career development plans, communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, non-traditional outputs, data sharing, and open science requirements. Another critical element is the narrative CV, increasingly used in international funding calls and requiring a distinctly different approach from traditional CVs. The training prepares participants to navigate this set of requirements, understand the logic of funders, and produce documents that strengthen the competitiveness of their applications.
