Water
Be Green
 | Use water efficiently in all situations, including in the laboratory. | | Regular tap water To reduce water spending at ITQB, all restroom sinks have water reducing facet aerators. Still, minimise water use where possible. Do not leave taps running unnecessarily. Save water in the laboratory by turning off the water when not required. Report leaking taps to maintenance office. Deionized tap water Remember that every laboratory has two types of water taps: regular tap water and deionized tap water. Use deionized water only if absolutely necessary. This water is treated at ITQB. Treating water costs money making deionized tap water much more expensive than regular water. Specially treated water ITQB has specially treated water with increasingly degrees of purity for particular laboratory purposes: bidistilled water and ultrapure water. Consider the application when deciding the type of water you need. Avoid wasting and be rational using all types of water. |
