Title: Lanthanide(III) complexes of phosphorus-containing cyclen derivatives: structural aspects and their implications for design of MRI contrast agents and bone targeting ligands.

Abstract:

An influence of phosphonic or phosphinic acid pendant arm(s) in DOTA-like ligands on structures of lanthanide(III) complexes, both in solution and in the solid state, will be presented. Resulting physico-chemical parameters important for MRI contrast agents (water residence life-time, rotation correlation time, hydration) will be also discussed. Bone targeting of the complexes will be exemplified on bis(phosphonate) derivatives of the cycles. For more information see
