Research work conducted at the Coordination and Supramolecular Chemistry Labresulted in an academic merit award for Catarina Esteves, student in the Masters Course in Chemical and Biological Engineering 2011/2012 at ISEL. The thesis, entitled "Desenvolvimento de quelantes macrocíclicos para complexação de iões metálicos de transição e lantanídeos com interesse em aplicações médicas" and supervised by Rita Delgado, received the classification of 19 (out of 20) during its discussion. For this Catarina received a prize money of 900 euros awarded by CGD during an official ceremony at ISEL on October 22.
