The main purposes of this meeting are
- To update the Portuguese structural biology community of the current situation and opportunities provided by Instruct-ERIC;
- To disseminate success stories of the use of the platforms available through Instruct-ERIC;
- To motivate Portuguese scientists to take advantage of Instruct-ERIC and its integrative approach to structural biology.
We will have the opportunity to welcome a representative of the INSTRUCT-ERIC coordination team, who will present the current status and future developments of Instruct-ERIC. In addition, presentations from recent successful Portuguese users will showcase projects that have benefited from access to INSTRUCT-ERIC.
Please explore the site of Instruct-ERIC at www.structuralbiology.eu and see how you and other colleagues can take advantage, as scientists from a member country of this infrastructure. Through Instruct we can have access to the very top state-of-the-art technologies related with Structural Biology which are not presently possible in our Institutions, and thus we should continue making the best possible use of our membership. These are very comprehensive and include platforms that address sample production, biophysical characterization, X-ray data collection, cryo-EM, MS, NMR, microscopic imaging and computational.
This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to know Portuguese scientists that have used Instruct and to exchange ideas for future applications.
