Instructions for Presenters 

Oral Communications

If you have a short oral presentation, please be aware that your presentation must have the duration of 12 minutes followed by a short discussion of 3 minutes. The Invited oral presentations must have the duration of 20 minutes followed by a short discussion of 5 minutes. The Keynote Lectures must have the duration of 45 minutes followed by a discussion of 15 minutes.

To avoid unexpected problems and delays, we kindly ask all speakers to have the presentation loaded in the conference computer prior to the session start. A Committee Staff Member will be on hand to assist you and receive your presentation.

Poster Communications

The dimensions of your poster should not exceed 135 cm height and 90 cm width. Your poster will be displayed in the dedicated poster area at the Riviera Hotel (“Esmeralda” room) for the duration of the congress. Materials to fix the poster to the poster boards will be provided onsite.

Your poster should be put up on Thursday 15th October, after your registration, and should be removed on Friday 16th October by the end of the congress. Please note that all remaining posters will be removed by the organizers and cannot be recovered.

The poster session on October 15th will be divided in two specific sessions for poster discussion:

13:30 – 14:15 for odd numbers; 14:15 – 15:00 for even numbers.

Authors are advised to be at their poster during the time period indicated for discussion with other participants and the Poster judging panel, which will responsible for the attribution of Best Poster Award, sponsored by Tecnimede.

The 5 posters with best reviews by the Poster judging panel will be selected for a 5 minute oral presentation of their work. The authors of the 5 selected posters will be notified by e-mail by the end of day on October 15th.

A special oral session is programmed on October 16th (12:30-13:00) for these poster snapshot presentations. Therefore, all poster authors are advised to previously prepare a series of 2-3 slides that could be used in a 5 minute presentation, in readiness for inclusion in the 5 finalist poster cohort.

The winner of the Best Poster Award will be announced during the closing ceremony.
