How can citizen involvement contribute to enhancing the scope and relevance of your research?
According to the European Commission, Citizen Science is defined as “public participation in scientific research activities when citizens actively contribute to science, either with their intellectual effort, personal and local knowledge, or with their tools and resources.”
LS4FUTURE is committed to promoting Citizen Science, which is a key pillar of Open Science, providing everyone with the opportunity to contribute to scientific research, innovation, and evidence-based policies. Engaging citizens in your work can expand data collection beyond what is possible with a research team alone, enabling studies on a larger scale. It also fosters public trust and enthusiasm for science, incorporates diverse perspectives into research design, and strengthens the societal impact of your findings.
This event is open to LS4FUTURE researchers and staff of all levels. Registration is free but mandatory, as places are limited. Register here until the 23rd of October.
