[Meeting] Advanced Integrated Microsystems AIM PhD Program Meeting

AIM 7.0


Advanced Integrated Microsystems Doctoral Programme offers advanced training in micro/nanofabrication of devices and systems, sensing and actuating, application to physical, biotechnological, pharmaceutical, and biomedical challenges. Microsystem technologies are a deeply interdisciplinary subject, and advanced training at the doctoral level will be challenging and rewarding producing graduates with a broad scientific vision, who are knowledgeable in a wide variety of scientific disciplines, from basic sciences such as biology and quantum mechanics, to electrical, mechanical, and biotech engineering applications.

 

Meeting programme

09:30-09:50 Welcome and Introduction
09:50-10:50 “Hackathon” Session (I). Selected ITQB researchers will present an overview of their work with a focus on areas where they believe they could benefit from the expertise of the AIM students (and advisors) in the audience. AIM students will try to suggest how the techniques that they are using and the technologies that they are developing could be applied to this work.
10:50-11:20 Coffee Break
11:20-12:40 “Hackathon” Session (II)
12:40-14:00 Lunch
14:00-15:40 AIM Student Presentations (I)
. AIM students from the 2015 and
2016 intakes will present their work. This session will be open to a
general audience. 12 minute talks with 8 minutes for questions/discussion.
