José Fernando Perez became the President of Recepta Biopharma in 2005. Recepta Biopharma is a start up biotech company developing monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of cancer.
He was the Scienfic Director of the State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) from 1993-2005. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and earned his PhD at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochshule (ETH) Zürich. He was a Professor of Physics at the University of São Paulo from 1974- 2004. He attended the Electronic Engineer University of Sao Paulo and earned his BSc and MSc in Physics by the University of São Paulo.
