Marguerite develops research and guidance at postgraduate level in the field of plant tissue culture of forest species and palm trees. She uses genetic transformation techniques to study resistance to abiotic stresses and coordinates the Group of Studies in Plant Biotechnology (Grupo de Estudos em Biotecnologia Vegetal - GEBV) (www.gebv.ufpr.br).

    - 1996-now. Professor at the Federal University of Parana, Curitiba, Brazil.
    Advisor of students: 16 Master of Science and 10 Doctorate.
