ITQB NOVA is not just a research institution. It is also a higher education institution and as such has a particular responsibility towards scientists in training. If the role of universities is preparing citizens for the future, what should ITQB NOVA be preparing its students for? What is the responsibility of scientists (and science itself) in building that future? What should the goal of current (or new) advanced education courses be? In a time when preparing the future seems almost impossible I invite you to a thought exercise about how we can best fulfil our Education mission, hoping to leave you with more questions than answers.
