[SCAN] CITIZEN SCIENCE + An Active Citizenship Program in Scientific Research

The Active Citizenship Program - Ciência + Cidadã (C+C)  was launched in a close partnership between ITQB NOVA, Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC) and Oeiras Municipality.

C+C has three main pillars as mission:

1. Citizen Science projects, promoting a citizen science approach at institutional level by developing scientific research projects with the involvement and the active participation of citizens, in a close collaboration with the researchers

2. Co-creation, thinking about science with people combining education, art and sport 

3. Public consultation, in decision-making for science in an open dialogue between citizens, scientists and political representatives.

We will present projects that are being developed within the scope of C+C, namely:
