Abstract:
This talk will give an overview about the R&D fields of medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, environment and energy at the Fraunhofer IGB, with a special focus on functional genomics. Dr. Kai Sohn is a biologists and the group leader of the Functional Genomics Lab, as well as, the deputy head of the Molecular Biotechnology department at the Fraunhofer IGB. He studied at the Universtity of Heidelberg and did his PhD at the Biochemistry Center Heidelberg (BZH) in the group of Felix Wieland in the field of vesicular transport within the Golgi complex, and did his postdoctoral research at the IGVT, University of Stuttgart.
