[SCAN] Science inside and outside the lab

Plants have a remarkable ability to adapt to the environment. However,
this capacity is being tested as a result of climate change. This
problem is of major importance for species of agronomic interest whose
production losses will have negative economic and social impacts. In
this context, it is increasingly urgent to explore and clarify stress
response mechanisms in order to identify possible tolerance markers that
may be used in early selection programs in the future.
Here I will present some results already obtained in this area as well
as new lines of work that are now beginning.

In parallel to research I have devoted some of my time to science
dissemination and teacher training activities in order to promote
experimental science teaching in schools.
