Title: The opportunities for Portugal within the European Infrastructure Instruct

Abstract:
Instruct is a pan-European research infrastructure in Structural Biology, making high-end technologies and methods available to its users since 2012. Portugal is a member country and this has allowed our scientists to gain access to the most advanced tools in the fields of protein sample preparation, biophysical characterization, X-ray Crystallography, NMR, Cryo-EM and MS.
The organization of Instruct will be described as well as the main activities that may be accessed by users from the member countries.
A tour through the Instruct website will be done, giving emphasis to the available technological platforms and the link between these and the Centres where they are located.
Portugal participates in Instruct as an Affiliate Centre designated as PCISBIO. This will also be introduced through its site. Portuguese involvement in Instruct is very high and the success in the various actions will be highlighted.
At the end, a brief description of the teams and projects of the Structural Genomics Laboratory will be presented.
