Title: Looking for metal-based scaffolds with biological activities
Abstract: Currently, the increasing pressure on health systems leads to the need to seek new treatments for diseases, particularly those that have a great impact on society, such as cancer and infectious diseases.
In the first part of the talk, I will talk about the results obtained during my doctoral thesis, which was based on the synthesis of ruthenium compounds with anticancer properties. In the second part, I will talk about the results obtained during this year at the ITQB, which are based on precisely this topic, the search for scaffolds with biological activity.
