Speaker: Patrick Rose
Abstract: The US Office of Naval Research Global funds basic research projects, agnostic to an application, focused on pursuing blue sky/crazy ideas that will have a revolutionary impact on society. Chief Scientist Patrick Rose will present an overview of the funding program and its opportunities to support basic research. He is looking for blue sky ideas no one else wants to fund but that challenge conventional thinking and have the potential to change the world.
