Title: Water strategic issue for Mediterranean Agriculture – from plant to agronomy

Abstract: Water is a strategic issue for plants and agriculture. In this talk it will be discussed the major roles of water in the context of warmer and dryer climate conditions and scarcer resources. Adaptation and mitigation measures are pointed out and discussed at both physiological and agronomical levels.
