Services available for students at ITQB

NOVA Social Services and Oeiras Municipality

Students and other researchers at ITQB can benefit from the services and facilities of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. These include health and social services, sports, and accomodation.

Sports

SASNOVA aims to help NOVA students improve their academic life by:

  • Encouraging the practice of sports among NOVA students
  • Promoting and organizing sports activities
  • Enhancing the image of NOVA through sports.

Health

Health Services Webpage

SASNOVA provides different health service in order to contribute to the students' wellbeing. The list of medical services provided includes: General Medicine, Psychiatry, Psychology and Nutrition. To book an appointment contact saude@unl.pt

SASNOVA also organizes blood donations campaigns (in collaboration with student associations), vaccination campaigns, and screening actions.

SASNOVA has also a number of protocols with other instituitions, which extend the health benefits available for stundets:

  • Maternidade Alfredo da Costa
    medical care specifically in the area of women's health (gynecology consultation and family planning)
  • Centro de Medicina Desportiva
    medical examination and monitoring in sports


Social Welfare (scholarships)

SASNOVA manages three university residences, with a total of 452 beds, for students of NOVA. Preference is given to students with welfare scholarships and foreign student in mobility programs.

The youth centre provides free psychological support to young adults (up to 24 years old). To book an appointment contact

Volunteering (Oeiras Municipality)

Students at ITQB are invited to participate in the local volunteering activities organized by the Oeiras Municipality. There are many different types of activities, from assisting large events (music, sports) to helping children or the elderly. Interested students need simply to fill in this form stating their availability. All volunteers will receive specific training.

 

Sports (Oeiras Municipality)

In Oeiras, you can find many opportunities for sports in a range of activities organized by the Oeiras Municipality.
