The publication “Synthetic biology for bioengineering virus‐like particle vaccines“ is in the top 10% most downloaded papers

The publication “Synthetic biology for bioengineering virus‐like particle vaccines“ is in the top 10% most downloaded papers from Biotechnology and Bioengineering Journal in 2018 and 2019.

This publication provides in-depth and comprehensive review on the application of synthetic biology to the manufacturing process of engineer virus-like particles (VLP) . The work also adresses major challenges and benefits associated with the translation of VLP vaccines into the industry.

This recognition by the global scientific community, stresses the impact of iBET’s research and consolidates our positioning as a leading institute in vaccine development.

This publication is a result of a collaborative work between iBET researchers João Vidigal, Manuel Carrondo and António Roldão and Australian Researchers from The University of Queensland and from The University of Adelaide. Congratulations to all authors!
