Sofia Venceslau awarded Best Poster Prize

The poster “The last step of dissimilatory sulfate reduction: DsrC trisulfide reduction by the DsrMKJOP membrane complex” presented by Sofia Venceslau, researcher at the Bacterial Energy Metabolism Laboratory at ITQB NOVA, was awarded the Best Poster prize at the 5th International Symposium on Microbial Sulfur Metabolism, which took place in Vienna (Austria, 16-18 April). The prize was sponsored by the scientific open access microbiology journal Microorganisms.
The 5th International Symposium on Microbial Sulfur Metabolism addressed different aspects of microbial contribution to sulfur transformations, ranging from new physiologies and organisms, biogeochemistry and stable isotopes, genetics and biochemistry, biotechnology, symbiosis, evolution and ecology.
