International Biophysics Societies meet in Lisbon

The first Portuguese-Spanish-British Joint Biophysics Congress ended yesterday after four days of interesting presentations and stimulating discussions in state of the art topics in biophysics. The congress, jointly organized by the three Biophysical Societies, gathered almost 300 participants in Lisbon.
On Friday, 11th July, the general assembly of the Portuguese Biophysics Society (SPBf) elected a new direction for the next four years. The executive committee of SPBf will now be chaired by Manuela M. Pereira, from ITQB, replacing Cláudio M. Soares who headed this organization for 6 years.
