ITQB researchers distinguished by the Technical University of Lisbon

Maria Manuela Chaves and Ricardo Boavida Ferreira, both professors at Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA-UTL) and researchers at ITQB, were distinguished by the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL) with a first prize and an honourable mention, respectively, of the UTL/Santander Totta award.

The UTL/Santander Totta award recognizes UTL professors and researchers in different scientific areas for the number and the impact of their publications in international scientific journals. This year, 12 prizes and 13 honourable mentions were attributed. The award ceremony took place on January 18th at the Centro de Congressos do Instituto Superior Técnico.

Manuela Chaves heads the Laboratory of Plant Ecophysiology and Ricardo Boavida Ferreira heads the Laboratory of Disease and Stress Biology at ITQB.
