Marta Marques awarded Young Biophysicist 2018 prize

Distinguished for her PhD work at ITQB NOVA published in Nature Chemical Biology

We congratulate Marta Marques, ITQB NOVA alumna, who was awarded Young Biophysicist 2018 prize by Sociedade Portuguesa de Biofísica for the work developed as a PhD student at Inês Cardoso Pereira Lab and Pedro Matias Lab and published in Nature Chemical Biology. The ceremony took place during the 6th International Iberian Biophysics Congress and X Iberoamerican Congress of Biophysics, 22nd June in Castellon, Spain.

The Young Biophysicist prize was created in 2011 by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Biofísica to recognize and give visility to scientific work recently published by young researchers. The paper selected for this award was highlighted at ITQB NOVA in March 2017. Marta was also awarded Best poster at FEBS/EMBO Conference in 2014 with the preliminary results that lead to this paper.
