StartUp Research NOVA: New Deadline until 19 December
The deadline for applications for the fourth edition of StartUp Research has been postponed to 19 December. The Post-Graduation, developed in partnership between Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB NOVA) and Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE), has over 15 scholarships to help researchers envision the value their science can generate. The three-month-long course will take place on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings from 4 February to 7 May 2022.
The course offers several scholarships, supported by ITQB NOVA, the Municipality of Oeiras and Pharmis, which may either partially or fully cover tuition. In 2022, the StartUp Research program will include blended learning, with some classes online and others held at ITQB NOVA or at NOVA SBE.
Aimed at researchers from all areas of life sciences, the Startup Research helps training students, giving them the necessary entrepreneurial skills and the knowledge about the latest market trends to implement business ideas in their respective fields.
This program intends to bring scientists, entrepreneurs, and industry together, and provide all scientists, science managers and executives an advanced scientific degree aimed at managing innovation and businesses. ITQB NOVA will be responsible for the technical content (e.g., innovation in biotech, intellectual property protection, project management, etc.) and Nova SBE will outline the innovation and entrepreneurship side to it.
