The development of plant and industrial biotechnology is essential to achieve a bioeconomy based on the sustainable use of resources to contribute significantly to the social and sustainable development of the country and the Planet.
The Master in Biotechnology for Sustainability of ITQB NOVA aims to train human resources to have the knowledge and technical capacity to contribute to the paradigm shift. To this end, it has a wide range of researchers of recognized merit, and the participation and cooperation of the main national institutes of biotechnology, plant sciences and economics, in addition to an innovative curriculum.
The Master's Degree is coordinated by ITQB NOVA, with the collaboration of the iBET, INIAV, IGC, INSA, NOVA SBE and CEBAL.
The opening of the fourth edition of the programme takes place on 12 Oct. 2020 at 2pm at ITQB NOVA.

2.30 pm - Guided visit to ITQB NOVA (services, library, laboratories, Agro-Tech Campus of Oeiras)
15:15 - Science dissemination activity at ITQB NOVA, by Renata Ramalho, coordinator of the Science Communication Office
15:45 - Introduction to safety in research, by the Safety Coordinator at ITQB NOVA, Dr Helena Matias
16:15 - Introduction to the Master's Program in Biotechnology for Sustainability by the coordinator, Prof. Margarida Oliveira
