Master in Science Communication

Applications are now open

Oeiras, 12.03.2018

With an essentially practical approach, the Master Course in Science Communication covers the application of different communication tools to science communication in three major domains: journalism, institutional communication and education. The Master Course includes two curricular semesters and a third semester for a training period in a recognized organization involved in science communication (media, museum or science centre, and research institution). As an alternative, students may also opt for proposing a comprehensive professional project in science communication or writing a dissertation on science communication.

Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas FCSH NOVA and Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier ITQB NOVA, two units of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, have been running the Master Course in Science Communication since 2011. Professors for this Master come from FCSH NOVA, ITQB NOVA, Ciência Viva and Strategic Communication, with invited speakers from the International Science Communication Community.

The classes take place at FCSH NOVA in Lisbon, two afternoons per week. The first registration period takes place till 24th of June. More information can be found here.
