Advanced organ-on-chip methods coupled to advanced microscopy training

Workshop

19 October, 2026 - 30 October, 2026

ITQB NOVA

This training workshop will provide hands-on training in organ-on-chip and microfluidic technologies, covering chip design, assembly, cell culture and experimental setup, combined with advanced microscopy and image analysis.

Participants will learn how to integrate MPS with state-of-the-art imaging approaches to investigate biological processes in physiologically relevant conditions and generate multi-parametric data at the cellular level.

The training will be delivered by experts from UKJ, ITQB NOVA, NOVA Medical School, GIMM, CBR, NIMSB, INESC MN, Biosurfit, and ZEISS, including:

André Magalhães – Biosurfit

Bruno Saraiva – ITQB NOVA
Carolina Feliciano – ITQB NOVA
Daniela Marques – NIMSB
Gabriel Martins – GIMM
Hristina Koceva – UKJ
James Lillis – NOVA Medical School
James Yates – ITQB NOVA
Jorge Carvalho – ITQB NOVA
Maria Warschinke – UKJ
Nuno Pimpão – NOVA Medical School
Sara Silva Pereira – CBR
Vânia Silvério – INESC MN
