ITQB NOVA maintains extensive collaborations with schools, particularly within the Municipality of Oeiras. Through the “Ciência Aberta a Oeiras” programme and the “Descobrir Ciência com o ITQB NOVA” project, we bring science to thousands of students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for scientific knowledge.
Students and teachers can welcome researchers into their classrooms through the “Um cientista vai à escola” and “A Scientist Walks into a School” initiatives, propose collaborative projects via science mentorships and science clubs, visit the Institute, or immerse themselves in the world of science through job shadowing, internships, and summer science programmes.
