The Flight Plan programme aims to support teams of researchers holding a proof of concept (PoC) by providing a grant (credit) of €15,000.00 for the preparation of a portfolio to present to potential investors in the Pre-Seed phase (prior to incorporation).
The team must demonstrate:
- a successful PoC;
- commitment from key team members, including a pledge to continue the value creation process within the Campus/Oeiras Valley;
- a robust strategy for intellectual property (IP) ownership/acquisition and protection, ensuring at least freedom-to-operate.
The grant is intended to allocate a monitoring committee to design a programme addressing specific needs, procure third-party services (legal support, financial projection, sustainability planning), and access training (e.g., Startup Research).
In 2025, the programme aims to support four teams, with a focus on successful IOV PoC projects that meet the Flight Plan prerequisites.
