André Cordeiro
André Cordeiro is PhD student at GPlantS, under the supervision of Nelson Saibo and Margarida Oliveira.
André Cordeiro has a Msc in Biochemistry obtained at FCUL.
André is involved in the characterization of rice transcription factors involved in abiotic stress, namely cold, high salinity and drought. This characterization is being performed at physiological and molecular level of Arabidopsis lines overexpressing the target transcription factors. His major goal is to better understand the role of those transcription factors in each stress. André is further characterizing the target transcription factors by studying rice mutants.
