Duarte Figueiredo
Duarte Figueiredo is a PhD student at GPlants under the supervision of Nelson Saibo and Margarida Oliveira.
Duarte Figueiredo graduated in Cellular Biology and Biotechnology at FCUL.
Duarte is focused on the identification and characterization of novel transcription factors involved in abiotic stress signalling in rice. He was also interested in the interplay between the light and cold signalling pathways. Duarte is now working on the epigenetic mechanisms regulating gene expression in rice, namely in what concerns chromatin and histone modifications.
