BRIDGE Fellowships at ITQB NOVA – A bridge for your PhD

ITQB NOVA, in partnership with the Oeiras Municipality, is now accepting applications for Master’s graduates who want to take the first step toward a PhD through the BRIDGE Fellowships.
Do you have a Master's degree - or expect to complete it by the end of 2025 - and would like to pursue a PhD at ITQB NOVA, in Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Biology, Plant Sciences, Biotechnology, or related scientific fields? The Institute will award 15 BRIDGE Fellowships: if you are among the sucessful candidates, you will join a vibrant research environment, where you will have the chance to explore new ideas and begin to shape your future PhD project. Throughout this period, you will also receive support to prepare your application to the 2026 FCT Call for Doctoral Studentships.
The programme is open to both Portuguese and international candidates. Apply by 23:59 (GMT) on 5 January 2026!
