ITQB NOVA holds Public Session on Cryo-Electron Microscopy

Session takes place on 17 September, within the meeting of the IMpaCT Twinning Project

Next Tuesday, 17 September, ITQB NOVA hosts a Public Session on different research applications using Cryo-Electron Microscopy. This session takes place from 10h-12:45h at the ITQB NOVA Auditorium , and is integrated in the recently awarded EU grant for the H2020 Twinning project "IMpaCT-Imaging Life from Molecules to Cells".

CryoEM has become a revolutionary technique for structural studies of proteins, as well as to obtain structural information on cellular components, at an unprecedented resolution. The project aims to build Portuguese knowledge on CryoEM, taking advantage of the expertise of the knowledge of ITQB NOVA partners from CNB-CSIC (Spain), the University of Helsinki (Finland) and the Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel). The project started on the 1st of September. Several activities will take place over the next three years.
