Single-molecule tracking to study M. tuberculosis cell division
Duration: 8 weeks
Detalhes
BACKGROUND
We are looking for interns at all levels who are interested in learning about how to use single-molecule fluorescence microscopy to learn how M. tuberculosis can evade our immune system. We do our experiments using non-pathogenic bacteria E. coli and M. smegmatis and we focus on single-molecule experiments using living bacterial cells. Please get in touch for more information to see if we have a specific project that’s geared towards your education/career/training interests. Possible short projects include molecular cloning to make new bacterial strains, collecting and analyzing data for experiments in progress, or computational work such as improving image analysis techniques. Internship length and schedule are flexible and depend on the scope of a project.
