About ITQB NOVA

ITQB NOVA – Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa – is a research and advanced training institute in the areas of life sciences, chemistry and associated technologies.

Located in the municipality of Oeiras, in the Lisbon metropolitan area, the institute offers a stimulating scientific environment. Here, more than 500 researchers work on cutting-edge science, funded through competitive grants. Collaboration with international institutions, industry and the business environment takes place on a regular basis in an atmosphere with high potential for technology transfer.

The institute is the ideal environment for advanced training in a research and technology environment. Students come into contact with top research in multiple scientific areas, and are challenged to develop critical thinking, communication skills and an entrepreneurial attitude as part of teams in the 55 laboratories.
