Green-it Bioresources for Sustainability was evaluated with the highest rating – “Excellent” – in the latest evaluation of R&D Units conducted by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), as part of the Pluriannual Financing Program 2023/2024. This recognition highlights both the center’s scientific excellence from 2018 to 2024 and the strength and ambition of its strategic plan for the years ahead.

“This achievement reflects the outstanding collective effort of the entire team of researchers, technicians, and students, and stands as a testament to the quality of our research, our commitment to technology transfer, and our dedication to teaching excellence”, states Margarida Oliveira, Green-it Coordinator.

Green-it is a leading institution in plant science, generating scientific and technological knowledge and making significant contributions to tackling current global challenges, such as climate change, food security, and sustainable agriculture.
