Internationalisation

The Internationalisation Office, supported by the Oeiras Municipality, is dedicated to strengthening ITQB NOVA’s global presence by actively fostering international collaboration across scientific disciplines. The office provides tailored support to researchers and students in areas such as academic mobility, international partnerships, education, and access to global funding opportunities.

Beyond our strategic mission, ITQB NOVA is equally committed to building a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming community. Through a wide range of outreach initiatives and cultural activities, the internationalisation office aims to make ITQB NOVA not just a place to work, but a place to belong.

The Internationalisation office actively supports researchers in organising international workshops that bring together diverse scientific communities and foster new collaborations.

The International Seminar Programme takes place monthly, featuring renowned speakers from across the globe. These events are an opportunity to share outstanding science, spark discussion, and open doors to new partnerships.

Science should travel across borders and into society. That’s why we support various mobility and outreach initiatives, including:

A Scientist Walks Into a School: a programme, in partnership with the Oeiras Municipality, that brings international scientists to classrooms, inspiring young minds.

ITQB NOVA Global Ambassadors: empowering our researchers to connect with international institutions and spread the word about our work.
