    Resonance Raman Spectroscopy

When energy of the incident laser light coincides with the energy of electronic transition of the molecule, a resonance condition is achieved. Resonance Raman spectra have increased sensitivity and contain vibrational modes of the chromophore only, revealing structural information on this specific site in a metalloprotein, enzyme or a model compound.
