Cecília Arraiano is the first woman to preside over the European Academy of Microbiology
Cecília Maria Arraiano, Coordinating Researcher at ITQB NOVA, has been announced as the new President of the European Academy of Microbiology. She is thus the first woman, as well as the first person from southern Europe, to preside over the Academy, 16 years after its foundation.
